Heading energyRe is its Chief Executive Officer, Miguel Prado. Prado is a man with vast experience within the renewable energy field, who has a vast knowledge base along with a track record of proven success. The man has indeed served as the CEO of North America at EDP Renewables for quite some time – the world’s second-largest producer of wind energy. Under his leadership, EDP Renewables North America has more than tripled in size while the value of its publicly traded shares has increased fourfold.
Prado led this team of 1,000 employees in the U.S. to manage the 8.8 GW of renewable projects based on more than $11B in assets. He also developed the strategic direction that includes a stable pipeline of development totalling over 15 GW. It was during Prado’s leadership that EDP Renewables became the world’s fourth largest wind generation company.
He holds an extraordinary professional background, including a PhD in Business and Management from the University of Oviedo and Bradford, UK, plus an Executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain. He has long experience in investments, mergers, and acquisitions, having established over $18 billion in moneyworthy global acquisitions. This qualifies him to navigate energyRe well past its ambitious goals.

There is a backing of 11-50 dedicated employees with chosen partners to handle management and growth of generation and transmission assets in order to offer increasing solutions in renewable energy.
