CliniShift was founded in 2015 by Aimée Madden with the goal of addressing healthcare organisations’ rising reliance on high-cost agency labour. Aimée knows firsthand the difficulties of filling last-minute shifts through phone calls and instant message groups as a former hospital CEO. Her commitment to address this problem led to the development of the CliniShift technology platform. CliniShift now supports workforce teams and managers in a variety of healthcare organisations in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and North America. Aimée’s objective is to create CliniShift the top technology for addressing the difficulties that healthcare executives face around the world.

The Services

CliniShift is an e-resourcing software suite that includes an information and communication platform that allows healthcare management to contact their own internal workers to fill non-scheduled shifts on short notice. It includes both the CliniShift App and the CliniShift Manager, which are both free to download for clinical and non-clinical workers. Staff may easily register their availability and accept shifts using the CliniShift App, and the CliniShift Manager sends out requests to appropriate candidates using your organization’s own cohort of employees. You will be able to canvass personnel in a traditional and seamless manner using their unique queue system.

About the CEO

Aimée majored in history and politics at university, then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a master’s degree in international business. Her life before to CliniShift was a whirlwind. From a professional aspect, she frequently portrays herself as peaking at an early age. She became the CEO of a hospital at the age of 27, which was a true baptism of fire for her, however she relished the excitement and adrenaline of not knowing what obstacles she would encounter next, as she was a born problem solver. She subsequently moved on to be the Managing Director of a Dutch Healthcare IT firm that was attempting to internationalise, thus her early career was far from stress-free; yet, Aimée has no regrets.

Managing personal and professional life is a skill that Aimée has had to learn over time, and it is something that must constantly be worked on. She really believes in a work-life balance because without that, your company can potentially suffer. Aimée really enjoys furthering her knowledge and partaking in continuous professional education. “I am starting the second year of my PhD studies after I was awarded a scholarship. I travel a lot for work, so I like to keep fit by going to the gym and playing tennis as I find it’s good to clear my mind and refocus for the next day. I also have a personal and professional life coach. This is something that I incorporated into my life about three years ago and I have to say it’s probably one of the best decisions I ever made and something that I don’t think I would ever give up.” Says, Aimée.
