Due to the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, retailers have faced a tremendous dive in their business. PepsiCo is facing inflation just like everyone else, the company recently raised its revenue outlook this Tuesday.
The company like so many others is trying to manage its business by driving costs from its products. The pandemic has disrupted the global supply chain and forced retailers to increase the costs of their products.
Russia and PepsiCo-
Russia is the second-largest consumer of the Pepsi brand after Mexico. In the wake of the Russian attack on Ukraine, PepsiCo banned the sale of its products in Russia except for baby products, which became a massive blow for the company and this decision weighed on its profit.
The company is trying to cut on the product size instead of raising the price because that can result in a waning of its consumers, as has been seen for other companies selling packaged items or soft drinks. As of 2022, PepsiCo expects its revenue growth by 10%, instead of its prior forecast of 8%.
