Healthy Horizons, the leader in workplace lactation support, has announced the winners of its $20,000 Lactation Room Contest 2024. Four standout organizations—Wildtype, Dscout, Tang+Company, and Montefiore Nyack Hospital—were recognized for their commitment to creating parent-friendly workplaces and empowering breastfeeding parents.

The contest received nationwide interest from employers and advocates aiming to provide stronger support for working parents. Three winners received premium lactation room makeovers, featuring top-tier breastfeeding equipment, comfortable furnishings, milk shipping services, and access to a professional “Return to Work Lactation and Pumping” class. One winner received a curated set of lactation essentials to enhance support for nursing parents.

Each winner reflected the contest’s core values of care, inclusion, and innovation:

• Wildtype, a sustainable seafood startup, will upgrade its lactation room to reflect its people-first culture.
• Dscout, a UX research platform, reinforces its empathy-driven ethos by nurturing employees as they balance work and parenting.
• Tang+Company, a leader in workplace wellness, exemplifies its health-focused mission by enhancing its lactation/wellness space
• Montefiore Nyack Hospital, a NYS DOH Breastfeeding-Friendly Worksite, will continue supporting its staff of healthcare providers with dedicated lactation tools
