The Nickel Institute, the global association representing leading primary nickel producers, proudly announces the appointment of Pierre Derieux as its new Director, Market Development, effective July 1, 2025.

Based in Singapore, Pierre will lead the Institute’s global initiatives to promote the responsible and innovative use of nickel. His efforts will support key industries including clean energy, electric mobility, construction, and advanced manufacturing, helping position nickel as a critical enabler of a low-carbon, circular economy.

A French national, Pierre brings over two decades of international experience in the metals sector, including senior roles with Eramet in Europe and Asia and most recently with ArrowMetals Asia Pte. His background in engineering, combined with his proven track record in sales, marketing, and strategic development, makes him well-equipped to drive nickel’s market growth.
